Leicestershire based Fanela, an apparel printing and embroidery business, purchased their Beck Packautomaten Serienpacker S2250XJ on the Friedheim International stand at the PPMA show with immediate delivery and installation. The multi-talented 4-side-sealing bagger was bought together with the Texfinity T-shirt folding machine, also supplied by Friedheim International, to make the entire process automated and in-line.
The Texfinity T-Shirt folder produces an accurate and consistent fold of T-shirts, polo shirts, sweat shirts and hoodies produced by the company. Once folded, conveyors deliver the items straight into the Beck Serienpacker where the bag is sealed on 4 sides with a tight-fitting finish. The equipment uses a 25µ polythene with a suffocation warning printed on the reverse. This is perfect for both presentation and protection and suitable for commercial and retail packaging with a crisp, clear looking bag.
Texfinity - T-towel machine, garment folding machine
Utilising the two machines the company can produce, fold and package more than 1,200 products per hour. By further utilising a second Texfinity folding machine, Fanela could achieve over 2,400 pieces per hour with the one Beck machine.
Martin Howells, UK Sales Manager for the Packaging Division of Friedheim says, “In apparel printing, one of the biggest “bottle-necks” within production is the manual folding and bagging of finished products. The line-up of the Texfinity and Beck eliminates this problem leading to a much higher productivity, repeatable fold quality and presentable bag.”
Established over 30 years ago, Fanela has grown to become one of the leading apparel embroidery and direct to garment printers in the country, and a firm fixture in the Leicestershire textiles industry. The company is at the forefront of the promotional and workwear industry supplying some of the leading names in the corporate world.
