The weighing of products basically involves the use of a filling machine which measures out a pre-determined mass of product, which may be liquid, powder or solid items (screws, nuts, bolts, etc), directly into the package, all while it rests on a weighing instrument which controls the filling operation.

The automatic weighing machines supplied by Friedheim International are primarily designed for weighing individual, uniform portions of a product comprising individual articles, and include a product feeding device and at least one weighing line having a vibratory conveyor, one end of which is designed to receive said articles, while at the other end is positioned a weigh hopper adapted to receive and weigh the articles fed from the conveyor.

Weighing machines are primarily used in the batch packaging of a series of different products within various food sectors, for instance in the form of vegetables, cakes, confectionery, etc, as well as more hardware-based DIY and components industries, e.g, for the packaging of items such as nails, screws, nuts and bolts, etc.
