Although not involved with a stand in its own right, Friedheim personnel were on-site supporting a number of Friedheim’s suppliers who did have stands at this event, and all reported positive results from their attendance. These were the companies and the products that they had on display:
Atecmaa Packaging – pallet wrapping systems to suit various types and sizes of application.
Audion Elektro – economic, easy-to-operate and productive shrink wrapping machines for manual and automatic in-line and off-line processes
Baumann Maschinenbau Solms – a new co-operation between Baumann and Hahn Automation saw the appearance of the VP25 form, fill and seal machine, which is capable of processing a range of different types of products, and as a duplex version can produce up to 300 bags per minute.
Beck Packautomaten – Beck’s focus at Interpack was on mail order activities and centred on two main machine demonstrations: the first involved a Serienpacker SXJ HP adapta vs packaging machine which, depending on the type of job and product, feeder and film being used, is capable ofoperating at up to 30 packages a minute.
The other packaging machine was a Multiplex MP 240 XP with in-line attached HV 601 Thermoschrumpfer (shrink tunnel). Ideal for universal bag forming, filling and sealing operations, at Interpack the Multiplex was packaging thin, rectangular chocolate bars – perfect for handing out to visitors to the stand!
KAMA – being shown for the first time in Europe was the DC 76 Foil with AutoRegister and the tool-less stripping and blanking unit (SBU) – a compact solution that deals with die-cutting, creasing and embossing digitally printed or cut sheets at high registration accuracy. The Kama DC 76 Foil was demonstrated in tandem with a Hewlett Packard Indigo digital printer, a set-up ideal for small to medium print runs.
Kohmann Maschinenbau – demonstrated a number of production solutions including: BrailleStar – a new folder gluer with Braille unit for the efficient converting of pharmaceutical cartons; PrintChecker – the print inspection system for total quality control of folding cartons and other print media; and
MPT – a multi-purpose transport system for inkjet and labelling applications that is ideal for implementing track and trace systems for packaging material.
Schib Packaging – demonstrated two high speed packaging machine solutions at Interpack: one was the CO-90E – a candy wrapper featuring speeds of up to 2000 pieces per minute; the second was the CO-100BB MOVE – an extremely accurate and versatile machine with bottom mounted film roll. This machine is particularly suited for challenging packaging applications in the food, non-food and pharmaceutical industries.
