Leicester based garment printer The T-Shirt Guy has invested in a brand new Texfinity folder from Friedheim Packaging to improve quality and throughput of orders.
The T-Shirt Guy specializes in the design & manufacture of clothing including children’s & babywear. Established in 2010, they have been designing fashionable garments for UK highstreets and brands for over a decade. They have developed a sizeable graphics & design team, and in-house plant list to support their operation which is global in both manufacturing and inspiration – finding trends from around the world to bring into production.
With the capacity to supply over a million garments a year (or twenty thousand per week) at the 18,000sq/ft Leicester facility, they required a robust folding solution to improve process quality and save costs in the processing area. Martin Howells the UK National Sales Manager at Friedheim Packaging knows the company well and with numerous Texfinity folders installed around the country, knew it would be a perfect fit.
The Texfinity folder manufactured by CLM, is designed for the folding & stacking of all sorts of fabric products such as clothing & bedding. It is able to fold up to 1,800 items per hour on the fly with an intelligent stacking feature for ergonomic and smart product delivery. A robust construction and extreme attention to detail provides the buyer with extremely accurate folds and a library of folding patterns to suit a wide range of applications. Fitted with RFID and barcode readers, the Texfinity can be integrated with overhead bag systems and smart conveyors for the mot seamless production experience while data logging and troubleshooting reduce down-time to a minimum. It is also available in more specialized formats, for the folding of towels for example.
At The T-Shirt guy the folder is supported by a Beck Packautomaten Multiplex Packaging machine, also supplied by Friedheim International, which wraps and labels the goods for consignment.
